Welcome
Cars and fun stuff

This page needs some updating for sure! I will try to get some photos of some of the newer vehicles in the garage currently. Those include a limited edition Harley Davidson Fat Boy Screamin' Eagle, plus other bikes, a C4 Cabrio 911, a crazy pimped out Escalade with a 22 inch big screen, a new BMW 7 series and who knows what else! The Challenger, below, has been sold but since I owned it twice, for many years, I had to leave it on the site! It is just too cool. The Landcrusher is getting some serious attention by my friend Erin, a mechanic with a lot of L/C experience. It's in good hands!

1970 DODGE CHALLENGER T/A 340 SIX PAK

"Miranda" is now officially for sale. This is a genuine 1970 Six Pak TA car, matching numbers. One of 2400 T/As ever made, made only in 1970.  This car is in nice overall condition but I think it is time for either a Cuda, a Demon, or maybe a Mopar wing car. I would like to get a car that is already complete, Miranda needs interior work. Miranda is one fast car, with a lot of soul. Anyone who has ridden in the car can tell you a story. The car is fast, people ask me about comparisons with the Boxster....  well they are both pretty neck and neck. The T/A makes more noise, and is more fun getting there!!  They don't make cars like this anymore...all are sacrificed to the wind tunnel now!! This is how cars should be!! This is Dodge's homologated race car for the Trans Am series. The Pontiac Trans Am was still made until about last year.  At the time, with Dan Guerney and other drivers, the T/A series was the hottest thing going....then came an energy crisis and whining insurers. Hey, just because is says Six Pak right one it doesn't mean it's dangerous! Not with me driving!!

THE LANDCRUSHER

Specs are as follows: 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser, built and restored by Cool Cruisers of Texas, to original. Rust free truck from AZ. I then put on the following:

1. SkyJacker Softride suspention
2. Terra extended shackles: total lift of six inches
3. Radial Super Swamper SSR tire, 35 inch!
4. Detroit Lockers front and rear
5. 4:56 gears
6. Weld STONECRUSHER bead style alloy wheels.
7. Ramsey pro 9500i winch

I also put on the Toyota Japaneese body stickers, cause the idiots of life think it's a Jeep!  BLASPHEMY!

This all original truck is a lot of fun and is so rugged, it has actully been ROLLED outside Seattle, and has not been touched or painted in this photo! The last of the great Japaneese off roaders!!

FERRARI 456 GT.  This is the latest car added to my collection, and is a very interesting one. This car is believed to have been built specially for the famous and infamous Sultan of Brunei. These "Sultan Cars" are all Pininfarina Speciale cars, meaning they were shipped from Maranello Italy to Pininfarina for six months, to have special custom work done on them. Some 456s were even made into station wagons ("Shooting Breaks") or four door sedans. These cars are welll documented in Europe, but unkown in the US, making mine very rare indeed. They were government cars, for the diplomats and others of Brunei! The Sultan has over 5000 estimated exotic cars. The 456s are perhaps his best known, he really liked these flagship four seat Ferrari twelve cylinder cars.  These cars were built at an estimated cost of over a million dollars each. My car is undocumented. This allowed me to purchase the car for a typical Ferrari preowned (5000 mi) car. I now seek to document the car. Here is what I have so far:

1. Email from Ferrari North America documenting the car as a Pininfarina Speciale.
2. Oral documentation from the man who picked visited the Sultans American palace, with a blindfold and automatic weapon-toting guards.
3. Car fax documentation showing the proper place, dates and title facts for a Sultan car, including it's commercial registration.
4. My own research showing consistent VIN numbers for Pininfarina "Sultan" cars, with documented cars just above and below my car in VIN number production.
I also have some other titles and interesting documentation, including an upcoming letter from the Ferrari Club or N America president, who knows the car. Exciting!

Overall I have been happy with this new flagship 12 cylinder 430 horsepower Ferrari. It's color is refined and low key for the place I live, and you would be surprised by how few people recognize it as something unique. It's build quality is a bit poor, but that is in comparison to a Porsche or newer Caddilac. It is very fast at all speeds, but especially at 80 and up. I love the leather headliner! I hope this car becomes collectable, maybe it already is! The documentation of this car is fun. My car is not a convertible, a factory automatic or a four door, but it does have some fun "Sultan" features, only found on the Sultan cars:
1. VIP one way mirrored glass
2. Special seats with the prancing horse in the seatbacks themselves, not the headrest as is usual.
4. Prancing horse floor mats.
5. Extra plush and high quality carpeting, something most Ferraris could use!
6. Custom seats for the Sultan are more padded and plush than usual.
7. Custom dark grey color is elegant and obviously super rare!

This car could be the elusive "one of one" cars that you will see at Pebble Beach in 2030! The documenting continues!!!

After days of research, I found one good British website that has information on these very rare 456s. Just click here to be taken right to the page! It is very interesting, with photos of the wagon and four door! This site is a great resource on exotics also.

I have been pleased with the car so far, the 12 cylinder Ferrari motor is a dream of smoothness and refinement. It is the most beautiful four seat car ever produced in my opinion. Exotic materials abound, like a honeycomb hood, and magnesium parts. The body is a race car chassis with bonded aluminum panels. Top speed in about 189.

Atv and RACE QUAD update

westcoaspg.jpg

Right: Alba 400. This race quad was built by Alba racing and is very tricked out and produces 70 horsepower, more than some cars, and weighs 320 pounds. Chrome parts abound, and a special long travel suspention has been installed to sooth writer's old, ancient bones. Top speed in near 100 as geared. There is a stroker kit with two blaster pistons, barnett clutch kit. dura blue axle, triple chromed FMF fatty pipes for top end, my preference. About 15 of these Alba 400 were built, after an article appeared in a magazine. My last Banshee was worn out, I am proud to say. I had modified that one myself. This one is indeed faster, but is more trick and more reliable. In fact, it has the stock carbs and is the most reliable quad I have ever owned. Riding a race quad like this is my favorite motorized sport!
BELOW: driving around on the Oregon Dunes park on the pacific ocean. I noted on the photo where the atv is...and there is one more too. These dunes are vast!
